The Day I Became Black

What I liked

The humor and heartache were perfectly balanced, making the overall feeling of the piece all the more powerful. It tackled some very serious and important subject matter but it was hilarious at the same time! It’s so hard to do and Bill did it masterfully.

What I didn't like

I honestly can’t think of anything. At first I didn’t know if I’d like a show that is largely someone standing and talking the whole time but it was SO engaging and I LOVED it! Bill Posley is such a performer through and through that I could’ve watched him all day.

My overall impression

This show was truly remarkable. Often hilarious, at times heartbreaking, and overall incredibly powerful. I expected it to be good and it exceeded all expectations of what it might be. I haven’t seen such a masterfully crafted piece in a long time.
