What I liked

The cabaret-turned-drinking game format of the show is a brilliant way to tell her story. Emily brings new life to old favorite tunes and takes us on her journey of heartbreak. She performs them with such raw emotion that it’s more than just a woman singing songs beautifully, it’s an emotional rollercoaster. Did I mention how amazing her voice is?

What I didn't like

I should’ve gotten 2 drinks at the top of the show, because I finished mine halfway through the show playing the drinking game and was too transfixed to get up and get another one. So it could be less spellbinding? Just kidding, I can’t think of anything more I wanted from the show. I’ll be going again.

My overall impression

It’s fun, it’s funny, it’s touching, it’s incredible. The band kicks ass. But most importantly, Emily Goglia performs with such a powerful presence. She commands the stage with her compelling storytelling, comedic timing, heartfelt honesty, and the best damn voice you’ll hear at Fringe, guaranteed.
