What I liked
Casting and tight writing. Laura found many interesting choices on things to write songs about that might not be the first thing you’d think would make a good song — but are absolutely perfect for this show.
What I didn't like
It looks like they may want to do a rehearsal where they track their mics, but the cast was so good that they covered up that mistake. One song between a couple of the leads should actually become part of the show, it was handled so well.
My overall impression
Great show. Great music. I’ve only seen maybe 1 or 2 episodes of Sex and the City, but even I could tell who everyone was based solely on the excellent casting. And the fun script and music played on the few tropes of the original show I could remember and I’m sure many more for true fans of Sex and the City as well as musicals in general.
