My overall impression
Never seen the show. Not even that into new musicals. Don’t care. Doesn’t matter. This was an incredible production. The casting, acting, singing and music were all terrific. It was very clever and funny, but I was surprised how genuinely heartfelt it often was. Despite the parody, they clearly love the source, something that I – who’s never seen the show – could still see. Great show.
