The staging was unique- the entire play features a writer interviewing an inmate who was sent to jail for shooting up a pizza place, but both parties make direct eye contact with the audience the entire time. Both performances were excellent, but Jordan Klomp’s performance was particularly chilling. This show was minimalist, intimate and well-executed.
What I didn't like
I’d love to see if the story could be expanded more, or if there’s any way to incorporate an audience talk-back into the performance to share ideas on how we can prevent these types of catastrophes from happening in our country.
My overall impression
Unsettling and uncomfortable. This type of story features the dialogue we need to be having during these times of uncontrollable gun violence.
