What I liked

Estranged from his father since his parents’ divorce, recent college grad, Connie (Peter Fanone) pays an unexpected visit to his father (Patrick J. Gorman), who is the sole proprietor of a men’s millinery shop. Stunned by his son’s arrival, the father is further confounded when Connie announces that he intends to live and work with him in the hat shop in an effort to get to know his father better. Reluctantly, the father admits that the shop is on the verge of closing due to poor sales. Connie, eager to make use of his marketing degree, volunteers to take up the challenge to help his father save his beloved hat shop. Can Connie and his father together successfully save the family business? Will Connie and his father rediscover each other in the process? Will Connie find out why his father abandoned him after the divorce? Can the father outwardly exhibit his love for his son? These powerful father and son themes are explored with wit and humor in this sharply written tale by playwright Gorman and directed by TJ Ganser.

What I didn't like

The staging was minimal due to the size of the space. Running time around 60mins.
