What I liked

The wine bottle dance of passion is something to behold. Some very funny moments throughout. Accompanied by great sound design, music and audience confession, it was an intimate and absorbing performance.

What I didn't like

Overall I felt this was a very well executed play with a strongly composed narrative. If I had to add something, it would be that I would love to sit longer in Betty’s world pre-Mars departure. I can see that balance being a challenge – Mars departure has to be there, it’s a hinge point, but I felt that earth Betty, naturally, was able to express herself more easily, given the social/material stimuli available and I’d like to experience more of that.

My overall impression

This was a compelling and nuanced performance of a demanding work. Betsy Moore impressed with physicality, humor and well pitched timing. Against a stark set, she remains front, center and captivating.
