My overall impression

This was an inspiring performance by Majd. It was well-written, with moments of humor that moved the audience to laughter throughout the show, and moments of sorrow that definitely brought the audience to tears. It is the story of a very personal journey told through the prism of a blood orange tree, with the blood theme linked throughout the show with family, tragedy, joy, and sorrow. Blood Fruit is a show that everyone can relate to and empathize with if you have family that drives you crazy, to tears, to laughter, and to love. With minimal props and a stunning dialogue, the show is well worth 90 minutes and received a standing ovation on opening night. It is a story of self-reflection, a journey of hope, and the trials and tribulations of life told by a very unique, talented artist. I enjoyed every minute of the performance and reconnected with some of my own past and the journey I have made with my family. Do not miss out on this performance.
