What I liked
This show has an incredibly strong cast. Props to each of them! And a very special shout out to Ashley Karp for some of the finest turtle work I’ve ever seen (just watch the show, you’ll see what I mean). Eric Cire is a skilled director who used very clever staging to really make this unique performance space work well for the show.
What I didn't like
This is the kind of show that can really benefit from Fringe. It’s so smart and funny and satirical. I’m hopeful this Fringe run will help the production team determine what needs to be cut (I think satire is best when it’s fast paced, which this show mostly was minus a few moments). I hope to see a shorter, tighter version of this show go up in the near future!
My overall impression
Such a fun show! Really smart political satire with lots of subtle, sharp commentary (as well as plenty of bold and well-done moments). You could tell everyone was super engaged and committed to the show, which made it easy to feel the same way as an audience member!
