It is a rare thing to see a cast that is this in sync with each other. Each character has moments that are specifically relevant to the overall narrative and the actors know -exactly- how to let the actor and character have those moments. It's a perfectly choreographed scenario that is surprising in both its simplicity and its effectiveness. ... full review

I love watching a talented artist with excellent intuition, skills, and dedication to their art. Luckily, you get three of those in one show. From scene to scene, over and over, the audience is gifted beautiful imagery, surprises, and strong performances at every moment. This is a true character study piece about someone who has a very twisted definition of the word love. This contemporary appropriation of classically conflicted characters brings new context when discussing the manipulative nature of humans. Go with a friend or two as this piece will benefit with a post-show discussion. And that’s what good theatre does. ... full review

I loved this take on three significant characters in our theatrical cannon. They're flawed, they're funny, they're petty, they're brutal, they're heartfelt. Do yourself and favor and see a really unique spin based on the most overdone play of all time.... full review

It's Hamlet made more accessible, more fun, more painful, and a thousand times more real. And they get it all done in an hour. Take that, Shakespeare!... full review

Tremendous acting and an entertaining reflection on a familiar tale. I've never been let down by this group-- last year's Quantum Entanglement was my fav of the Fringe-- so I went into this show knowing essentially nothing of what to expect, and was delighted. Each character felt so real, so complex, so relatable, which really made this investigation of the old story feel very alive and engaging. The show is rife with charm, love and a palpable sense of tension throughout. I absolutely loved Katelyn's Hamlet, so flawed, so manipulative, so emo! And the brother/sister relationship between Laer and Ophelia rang so true. Really all the relationships felt so authentic and complicated. Just watching them interact and fumble through the insane dra... full review

I can not recommend this modern Shakespeare re-telling enough. It’s funny, it’s self-aware, it’s innovative and shockingly real. Less Hamlet and more like someone chewing up a soliloquy and spitting it at you. It is a playground built upon the minds of Kelley Pierre, Payden Ackerman, and the breathtaking Katelyn Schiller, who returns to Fringe after last year’s stunning Quantum Entanglement to once again warp traditional theatre into a more-perfect shape. Hamlet fan or not; it’s doesnt matter. See this play and you’ll find yourself hidden inside it.... full review

Really engaging work by all three involved not only onstage but as the writing team behind the show. Chemistry onstage can sometimes be tricky but these three nailed it. The dialogue was sharp and funny and dangerous in places. Definitely recommended!... full review

This was a fun and interesting "update" to the traditional Hamlet play. While still including your classic characters and plot, this play explored the layers of the characters of Hamlet, Laertes and Ophelia with a modern lens. It was very interesting and entertaining! ... full review

Typically, when I think of "Shakespeare adaptations", I cringe. Productions either do too much or too little and never find that sweet spot, the middle ground. "Laertes Loves Hamlet Loves Ophelia" isn't so much an adaptation as a re-imagining of the play's three young protagonists, placing them in an apartment together as they sort out the drama surrounding the recent death of Hamlet's father and his accusations of murder most foul. ... full review

Fresh. Funny. Heart-breaking. Engaging. A real think piece. I love what these guys do as playwrights and actors. The work is intelligent, but not snobby. The piece is wonderfully portable- not in a bad way -and I hate to call the show "fringy" but something really well done here is creating a show that falls under an hour (without feeling incomplete), can be unpacked with props and set pieces in under 15 minutes, but still look professional.... I remember in the same team's piece last year there was a device used in the script that took me a while and when I understand it it was like "OHHHH I get it, cool"- this show had a similar device and I never fully got it- although I mostly got it and I liked it... (But I wish I could have fully g... full review
