What I liked

The shadow, which I called a demon, was fascinating and quite believable. The story was well developed. The actor portraying Manny was particularly good.

What I didn't like

I felt the actor playing Amy (Shelby Monaghan) was not emotionally honest. Physically, she portrayed her depression and anxiety but her face did not reveal it. The shouting by her father could have been modulated. Intense anger does not need to be portrayed at the top of one’s lungs. And the attic scene – I could not see it because it was in back of me and don’t know what happened there. I wish you had created a space at the top of the stage where that action could have taken place.

My overall impression

It was quite an adventure. It’s the kind of play I love discovering at the Fringe Festival. It was challenging, mysterious and in the end, satisfying.
