When Skies Are Gray

immersive theatre · the visceral city project · Ages 18+ · United States of America

world premiere

The last time the daughter saw her mother, she was in a bed in the nursing facility, clearly declining but still able to talk, eat and move around. She’s come to visit and is shocked to find that the room has been emptied, in the middle lies her mother on a mattress on the floor. This is it. It’s time and all she can do is wait.

This is a deeply intimate and experiential piece about death and the unbreakable bond between a daughter and mother. Select audience members will be able to volunteer as Nurses (and will be given instructions of what to say and do). Signing up for Nurse roles is on a first come first served basis.

Due to the nature of this piece we ask that people show up at least 10 minutes before curtain in order to sign up for Nurse positions and go over the Hospice Rules. If we see you are intoxicated or disruptive you will be denied entry.

Please note: Make sure you tick the box to give us your email upon purchase, that way we can contact you for Nurse positions and with other pertinent information. You may also message Ashley through the Fringe site or send an email to visceralcityproject [at] gmail.com.
