What I liked

The unique material, quite well-developed and directed in abstract sets.

What I didn't like

Keep ’em Coming—-next year!

My overall impression

Program TWO (BLUE) of this year’s New Musicals Inc double-feature is an eclectic mix of Three, not Four, quarter-hour (on the dot!) one-acts, all featuring the same versatile cast. The best is in the middle, a mock western concocted by three women (book-music-lyrics): LEGEND OF THE BROTHERS LEGRAND. It’s book-ended by a racy sex-comedy opener and a truly zany conclusion in which the cast members play Ice Cream Flavors at a County Fair! !!! (Ms Vanilla quite steals the show.) You’ve never seen THAT before, I’ll bet! The songs are swell and the cast does well! The extra minutes of the time slot go to an explanation of the New Musicals Inc curriculum done with charm and elan by Elise Dewsberry, one of the prime movers.
