What I liked

Mr. Brahan’s writing is superb, tight, even funny. He makes his character Red hateful yet charming in a disturbing way. This is due to both his writing and his acting. Mr. Schultz is just as masterful in his performance, which is nuanced and very touching; there is an authenticity and honesty to his performance that makes the play even more uncomfortable and heartbreaking.

My overall impression

What a show this is. One of the most well-written, well-acted, and tightly constructed plays at Fringe this year. Mr. Brahan has written an incredibly uncomfortable play that is highly relevant in our day and age; yet at the same time, it isn’t too topical. This show is highly engaging from start to finish and reaches its inevitable, horrific conclusion masterfully. Come see this show; it’ll raise the hair on the back of your neck in the best way possible.
