The writing was snappy, smart, and fun. The actors were energetic but totally grounded.
What I didn't like
No suggestions. It was a fantastic show!
My overall impression
There is a delicate balance to exploring themes of white privilege and racism without revealing any sort of agenda as a writer, and Jim Vejvoda’s snappy and smart script easily maneuvers us through this journey. I found myself siding with both characters and wasn’t entirely sure who was in the right at points. In fact, I was so engaged during the show that I couldn’t believe when it was over- which is a testament to how committed the actors were onstage and the excellent pacing of the script. It’s time we tell these stories in a way where no one gets off the hook- and I loved that Skin Jobs did this with depth and ease.
