Greek theater isn’t normally my thing – for the most part, the productions of it that I’ve seen have just been a lot of people yelling. But this powerful, intimate production invites you in rather than shouting at you. There were so many visceral moments that showed us how much this play has to say about the position of women in our own world – and the many ways in which people with any kind of power are driven to use that power to harm someone with less of it. I don’t want to spoil anything by trying to describe those moments here (and I wouldn’t be able to do them justice anyway), but whether or not you’re a fan of Greek theater, go see this production.
