I liked the characters for the most part. None of them were at all redeeming, but that made them endearing because you then really want to see how each of them gets killed. My favorite characters were Ari & his lawyer, followed closely by the chubby actor who enters in the cape.
What I didn't like
The killing of Tim at the beginning, why was that there? Was it just to establish Giuseppe’s irredeemability, and to bring in the maid’s complicity? It really didn’t seem to have much of anything to do with the plot later on, and it even seems out of character for Giuseppe based on what he says later about why he’s taken to writing. I think I get what you’re going for with him killing Tim because of discourtesy to a lady, but it doesn’t quite work somehow. Also is that supposed to be his body that is served at dinner? That doesn’t quite work either. The other actors don’t seem that upset about it, and why Tim? Maybe all of this could work better if the person who is killed at the beginning somehow has a relationship to the movie production, and is known to everyone at the table?
