What I liked

Fast, hilarious dialogue that was very pieced together. No line felt like it didn’t have a purpose.

Fantastic performances by the entire cast. They all played off each other like a barbershop quartet: complimenting each other in every way.

And honestly, I think this show has given me the most boysterious laughs so far at Fringe. Not a bad way to spend an hour.

What I didn't like

This is less of a “what can be improved immediately” and more of a “what can be improved in a future production”.
A higher production value with better props, set design, and maybe some blood splattering during that particular scene between Salsman and Arol, would go a long way to making this a brilliant romp of a play.

My overall impression

The Midnight Menagerie takes what most of us hate about Hollywood, or maybe have had to deal with in Hollywood, and enjoy some good old-fashioned schadenfreude as they all finally cross the wrong man: THE SCREENWRITER…….who just also happens to be a mob boss.
It’s a hilarious, dark, and gory romp, with some pretty amazing performances by the cast. The dialogue is witty, fast, and sarcastic, reveling in every second of the run. Trust me, if you need a good laugh, this is the show to see.
