INGERSOLL SPEAKS - AGAIN!

Ingersoll is a fun amd interesting look at the writings of a now rarely heard of historical figure. It centers around his writings and opinions about religion. The actor/writer is clearly very passionate about the man Ingersoll and this shines through the entire performance. Its quite maddening so little has changed for society since the 1800s.... full review

Kearney brought Ingersoll to life, and spoke words that needed to be heard in this day and age. Even though they are from around 150 years ago, they still apply. Once can clearly see why the religionists in power feared this man, and even essentially banned him from speaking in a number of states. Consider the impact of his speaking today? This is a show that everyone should see for the message that it brings back from the past, that remains relevant — especially so in the Era of Trump. It isn’t often when you are treated to the experience of seeing someone speak directly and passionately about something that matters to them. Well let me tell you something, the writer/actor/director Ernest Kearney is ALWAYS passionate, in passing barroom banter, in is previous work, and INGERSOLL SPEAKS - AGAIN is no different. Ernest is one of the best writers and actors ever to appear at Fringe. This is the fourth of his plays which I've seen and as always it is a combination of intelligence and strong feelings. Intellectual and intuitive. Comic at times. Always interesting.... full review
