Ingersoll is a fun amd interesting look at the writings of a now rarely heard of historical figure. It centers around his writings and opinions about religion. The actor/writer is clearly very passionate about the man Ingersoll and this shines through the entire performance. Its quite maddening so little has changed for society since the 1800s.... full review

I didn't know anything about who Ingersoll was, but I was amazed how Ingersoll's thoughts and opinions were ahead of his time. The show was educational and entertaining at the same time. ... full review

Kearney brought Ingersoll to life, and spoke words that needed to be heard in this day and age. Even though they are from around 150 years ago, they still apply. Once can clearly see why the religionists in power feared this man, and even essentially banned him from speaking in a number of states. Consider the impact of his speaking today? This is a show that everyone should see for the message that it brings back from the past, that remains relevant — especially so in the Era of Trump. It isn’t often when you are treated to the experience of seeing someone speak directly and passionately about something that matters to them. Well let me tell you something, the writer/actor/director Ernest Kearney is ALWAYS passionate, in passing barroom banter, in is previous work, and INGERSOLL SPEAKS - AGAIN is no different. Kearney is walking vehemence, instilling every idea, nay every sentence with significance. He is on a mission. And this is not about politics - as this is NOT a political portrait. It’s an ode to wisdom, and the ever-immediate need for it in a country that often flees from reason by way of the sensational or blissful ignorance. In this way INGERSOLL is a call to arms, that frames a historic figure, who is a walking a... full review

Ernest is one of the best writers and actors ever to appear at Fringe. This is the fourth of his plays which I've seen and as always it is a combination of intelligence and strong feelings. Intellectual and intuitive. Comic at times. Always interesting.... full review

A captivating one man show by an actor who completely embodies a fascinating near forgotten historical figure, who was about a century and half ahead of his time in terms of his views of race, sex and religion. Full of witty and profound insights that are just as relevant today as they were when they were originally uttered. ... full review

I had no idea who Ingersoll was before seeing this show, but I learned so much, not necessarily facts about him, but about his character, which was all the more fascinating thanks to a wonderful performance by Ernest Kearney.... full review

A consummate performer, Ernest Kearney connects to his audience with a magnetism and utter presence. This fascinating insight into Robert Ingersoll is full of scarily resonant comments about our current state of affairs. It's hard to believe some of these thoughts weren't written in the last few months. This is 45 minutes of utter engagement and thought-provoking moments. Ernest is one of the most generous performers you'll see on the stage. Totally charming.... full review
