What I liked

Ernest Kearney inhabits his character, and made connections to those of us in the audience as he spoke. It is a great performance. It felt like it really is Robert Ingersoll speaking.

Though it is incidental to the show, I wanted to mention that the music by the Rose Ensemble which opens the show is really beautiful.

What I didn't like

It is painfully hot in the theater. I could see the actor sweating as well. It must be possible to get a fan or something to cool it down.

My overall impression

It was marvelous. Robert Ingersoll was famous in his time. And we got to sit in on one of his lectures. What was amazing is that though the words were actually written more than a hundred years ago, this talk on religion and politics could have been written yesterday, and felt particularly relevant to what is happening in this country today.
