“Kvetch-22” is a theater piece that tells the story of Jason and Jenny, two show biz kids, who suddenly become pop stars in the 1970’s. They have one big hit record (“Love Is a Butterfly”), but, sadly, they are one-hit wonders.They marry and have a son. They want him to go into the family business, the business they love—-show business. He has other ideas. Built around 18 songs written by Fred Goodman and Allen Levy, the co-authors, it is a story of family and the aspirations parents have for their children—-it is warm and very funny. It has been successfully showcased at a Jewish Community Center in Long Beach. It is inexpensive to produce—-4 singers, a Narrator, a few hand props, that’s it. The singers sing to track. Enjoy!
