What I liked
The story was well thought out and the actors were all clearly working towards something very important and personal. They did a great job of creating distinct characters and creating a world in a very specific period. The show was very well put together and directed.
What I didn't like
Because there are a lot of scene changes, there were moments of dead air. The actors were great about hustling through these, but I wonder if in another space, that was wider and shallower, if these changes couldn’t be accomplished with lighting rather than moving furniture.
My overall impression
A very well written piece about an important time in history. I learned a lot and even though I don’t know a lot about baseball, I was engaged and moved.
