What I liked

The character development and Bates ability to weave the audience into his life and find compassion.

What I didn't like

It ended too soon. I would have loved for it to continue. Part 2, maybe?

My overall impression

Cooper Bates gives an honest and brilliant performance as his younger self navigating the audience through his personal experience with racism in small town America.
