My overall impression
As a successful two time solo artist myself I am quite critical of solo shows in Los Angeles but Kathryn is an exception. Inspired by Anna Deveare Smith she brings to light real stories based on her interviews and makes us view the homeless through a new lens. She manages to teach us and entertain us with an array of memorable and unforgettable characters. As playwright she has done the homework most don’t bother to do and as an actor her performance is simply magnificent. Kudos to Kathryn! Welcome to the Solo World! And thank you for giving us serious food for thought that we will still be digesting well after the fact!
