What I liked
I was thoroughly impressed by her acting capabilities. I believe she played all of the voices in the play and was able to define each character so well, using vocal technique alone (for those characters coming through via audio only).
What I didn't like
The piece packed a lot of punch in just 30 minutes. It certainly left me wanting more, I can’t think of anything specific to improve.
My overall impression
I could very much relate to the themes set forth in Room No. 9 at the Chrysalis Inn. I appreciate the bravery of K Butterfly to be vulnerable enough to share the many dimensions of her story. At certain moments I got goosebumps as I could see the elements of her transformation unfold.
