Butterfly gives a vulnerable, specific, and sometimes very funny performance. She’s a joy to watch. I don’t expect to come out of a play about abuse feeling warm and hopeful, but I did.
What I didn't like
While I strongly appreciate a super short Fringe show, I’d be curious to see a further developed version of this piece that delves more into the rest of her life, her memories of her grandmothers, and the physical realities of moving on from a marriage.
My overall impression
This is a heartfelt and clearly personal piece with an engaging performance at its center.
