What I liked

The heart-wrenching central concept (of the first half) that asks the question of whether loyalty to a friend can destroy you. The animalistic physicality of Beth. Evey’s unwavering commitment in the face of Justine and Wendy’s doubts. The hilarious first kiss between two characters. The compassionate pilot.

The naturalistic dialogue, which languishes in the familiar rhythm of four people who have clearly known and loved each other for a very long time. I especially like this because a lot of the time jokes or dramatic moments will hit seemingly out-of-nowhere in ways that feel really authentic.

What I didn't like

It is a bit long, but as soon as you start to notice such things, something beautifully poignant or unexpectedly hilarious will slap you right back into it again.

My overall impression

A deeply personal play that was clearly an intense labor of love for all involved. The sillier Fringe stuff is all well and good, but THIS is the kind of art that I love best about the Fringe. Truly a unique story I have never seen before
