I enjoyed the writing, the lighting, and the songs. Each of the lead women characters had their moment, which was great to see, and their camaraderie pulls you in. My favorite character was Mayvee— her monologue to her mother was quite moving. One of the more touching scenes is a spoiler, so I shan’t mention it.
What I didn't like
My only critiques would be: although most of the quick transitions worked well and kept a good pace, some of them were so abrupt it took me a few moments to place myself within the new scene and I lost a few lines as a result. On a technical note, the opening “in world” admin speech was a little difficult to hear through the loud-speaker effect meant to emulate the army camp.
My overall impression
Good writing, I like the use of color lights for intimate thoughts, and I shed more than a few tears during the songs. I recommend!
