What I liked

Each performance was grounded and nuanced, and all of the characters belonged in the world of the play, despite it covering a lot of ground. Well put together from the top down, so credit to both writer and director on that score. Good use of the space. While it imposed certain constraints the production managed to artfully resolve them rather than letting them get in the way of the show.

What I didn't like

I rarely say this, but I think the piece could be expanded. Ideally into a mini-series that could set up and explore each of the threads in more detail, as well as what happens “after”. But that is less a critique and more a wishlist.

My overall impression

Fast-paced, high energy fun that allowed a few moments for the audience to catch it’s breath. Incredible cast, every one of them deserves high marks. Great story, well-woven into the fabric of the known history of the time.
