On Ally’s first day of work in a comic book shop she meets long-time employee Justin. They are ill-fitted to work together and certainly not dating material in the eyes of either. So, of course they are going to fall in love.
The play is framed with the meta-narrative of the employee training videos they were both made to watch before they started on their respective first days.
Whether it’s “how to survive an earthquake” or “how to prevent employee theft” Justin and Ally are going to be put through the ringer together and by the end of the show they will have to decide whether or not to stay together. After all, what would Superman do?
