What I liked
David Beach as Dr. Zomba. His presence was so engaging that I forgot he was acting. (And his ventriloquism was on-point!) Loved the silly magic tricks.
What I didn't like
The character of Sirena was a bit of a missed opportunity to inject even more humor into the show. Her vacant, open-mouthed expressions were funny, but when compared to the rest of the characters the level of outrageousness wasn’t on par.
My overall impression
Fun, campy, and humorous. The tiny black box theater was the perfect setting for this intimate show. Plenty of audience engagement. A nice way to spend a late Saturday night away from the usual haunts. (Pun absolutely intended.) David Beach as Dr. Zomba was entertaining as hell.
