LAWEEKLY “GO” Backstage West “Critics Pick” -LIGHTS UP ON THE FADEOUT: Filmmaker, Stephen, wakes up in bed with the woman of his dreams, Kristina. His film is up for an award tonight. Kristina ran away from her wedding the night before with him. This is the beginning of a perfect day, and a perfect life. His brother, James, knocks on the door in desperate need of a babysitter for their father, Bernard, who is in the early stages of dementia. James has a big business deal and has nowhere else to turn for help. Through the reality of being trapped with his dad for the day, Stephen (and all of the characters) try to hold onto his idealized version of what love, and life, is.
