Comedic moments in the beginning soften the audience and encourage them to lower their guard so when we see and hear the soldier’s experiences we don’t fight them. The play is carefully crafted for full impact.

My overall impression
If you are looking for riveting and compelling theater do not miss this play. Though the subject matter has to do with PTSD and a soldier’s struggle after coming home the play has universal appeal. The fearless writing, courageous performances and expert directing make Twist Pull Smoke Run-Mother-Fucker-Run a great theater experience.
