Fantastic. Love the score.. Terrific voices, great comedy and storytelling. Brilliantly directed for this small stage. One of the best fringe shows I've ever seen...Someone should pick up this production. ... full review

I loved going to a late night show at the Fringe to see a musical I didn't know based on a book I never read. The performances were beautifully crafted with some excellent musical theatre performers, especially the three leads, Caitlin Gallogly, Marc Ginsburg and Stanton Morales. I feel so lucky to have seen this show up close. There is so much money and production values put into musicals these days that it was a divine privilege to see a bare bones production. The staging by director Katharine McDonough was truly inventive; it enabled the audience to use our imaginations and really hear the music, beautifully orchestrated by musical director Sean Alexander Bart. It was fun to see the musicians onstage with the performers. The 2 plus h... full review

True "black box theatre"--with all the magic that such locations can contain. It's very good to be reminded that costumes and sets are sprinkles on top of the ice cream, not the creamy deliciousness that really matters. Such it was with last night's performance of "The Scarlet Pimpernell" with the always lovely Caitlin Gallogly, and two of the strongest male performances I've seen in many a moon from Marc Ginsberg (Chauvelin) and Stanton Morales (Percy Blakeney). And while I'm on the topic: I cheerfully throw flowers at the feet of the "supporting" cast: Adam Trent, Donna Louden, Cole Cuomo, Patrick Cheek, Carolyn Lupin, and Elizabeth Eden. Extra cheers for the musicians. Directed and choreographed with a skilled hand by Katharine McDonough,... full review

I really love seeing what was once a big budget Broadway spectacle done with a handful of talented actors in a small space. This production really stripped the story down to its essence and the result was quite lovely.... full review

If you're at all interested in the musical or even curious, this is a must see. The late start for the show almost made me skip it, but it was completely worth scheduling some time to go see it.... full review
