What I liked

Charming with a dry wit, this piece makes it’s point with delightful subtlety. Deftly written, this performance is an excellent blend of skilled craftsmanship and genuine passion for the work. It communicates one woman’s simple desires, while simultaneously tapping into the power of women as a collective societal force.

What I didn't like

The sound design is expertly done, but it’s such an intimate piece, the ambient sounds are a little jarring. Overall, I wish the show were a more sensory experience. I want to feel the oppressive dampness of London, I want to smell tea, and chrysanthemum, and sage. I want to feel the country breeze – but Lisa Wyatt does an excellent job of conveying that Laura (not Lolly!) feels those things, and that’s more important.

My overall impression

Light, funny, charming, purposeful.
