This was my favorite story-telling of any show I saw at The Fringe. I was completely involved in this woman's journey and was laughing out loud from the writing, timing of the actress, and specificity of the characters Joy morphs into. I also was deeply moved and left with something more than I came with- an amazing feat. I look forward to seeing what work this artist will bring us in the future.... full review

Tony Frankel, theatre critic from Stage and Cinema here. I agree with the subtitle of Joy Nash's outstanding MY MOBSTER, which is simply "A Solo Play". This is not a solo "show", "outing", or "performance piece". It is a well-crafted play that demonstrates what is missing from most solo performer's autobiographical accounts: storytelling as the epic side of truth and wisdom. But Nash is not just a wonderful writer - she is a vulnerable, engaging and strong performer who deftly bounces from character to character. Even with a slew of technical mishaps at the performance I saw, Nash never became rankled. Her style is breezy and fluid, but never inauthentic.
