What I liked

This show struck a careful balance of sincerity and comedic moments so that the tribute to mental illness rang true without being insensitive. The whole cast is strong. In particular, Jessica J’aime, Kate Bowman, and Amanda Hootman bring the house down, and I would pay serious money to have a recording of Katy Harvey singing Never Is A Promise.

What I didn't like

As someone with mental illness, I am a difficult audience for a show like this, but I loved this show. There were a few moments where I thought the depictions of these mental disorders went a little too “crazy eyes” and lost some of the humanity in the performance, but they were few and far between.

My overall impression

I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The arrangement of the music is fantastic, the band is great, the vocals are stellar, and the use of the space is both dynamic and exciting. 2Cents is crushing it this year. GO SEE IT! And Charlie Moose, too!
