PLEDGE

The show is a brilliant social commentary on the dumbing down of America in the Trump era (even though it was written like a decade ago). It's also a telling look into coming of age. It hits on some very sensitive topics and if you are someone who is easily offended...not for you. But, if you like to squirm a little and think and just flat out laugh your ass off, this is a great way to spend an hour! The cast is excellent, they play their roles to perfection and they all show at varying points that there is much more to them than what is on the surface and sometimes, it's even worse. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be seeing it again.... full review

I thought Pledge was great! I loved the small theatre because it felt much more intimate. I thought the casting for all roles was superb with standout performances by Alex Dyon and Daniela Bobadilla. The whole cast worked very well together and were perfect for their respective parts. A great ensemble. Pledge is a play that deals with relevant subjects and mixes comedy and drama seamlessly. It makes you think, laugh, and cry. I will definitely try to see it again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great hour of entertainment.... full review

This is a deeply engaging, darkly funny play about the choices we all have - and don't have - about the person we become. Uncle Brent is the warpped adult litmus test for the emerging colors of character of a bunch of spoiled frat boys. Meanwhile, the girlfriend of one is in a pull-yourself-up-by-the-bootstraps reform of her hedonistic ways. Whichever way you go, life is short! A must-see!... full review

This is likely going to be my favorite show I've seen at this year's fringe, it fulfilled so many of my wants as a theatre-goer, it was smart, it was funny, it was rich with social commentary, and it was always engaging. I highly recommend seeing Pledge, I promise you will greatly enjoy it.... full review

Great show- such crisp, wonderful direction and so well-cast! WOW! This moves at a clip and the actors are solid and terrific. This is a world where "words didn't matter"- a concept funny and horrifying in equal measure, especially timely and resonant. Deeply unsettling and also seems very relatable and real. I really hope this show gets an extension and/or moves to NYC- I think it needs to be seen.... full review
