I went to the Lounge Theatre on the evening of Saturday, June 3rd not knowing what to expect, but with a vague idea of what “clowning” and “one-man-show” meant. I couldn’t have been more delighted upon watching Sapo Cancionero. As an audience member, I felt actively included in Little Davies Junior’s story. I found myself on the edge of my seat—mostly because I couldn’t stop laughing, but also because I didn’t know what was going to come next. Joaquin and Virginia crafted a show that at first appeared to be a simply playful story about a character trying to infect the world with joyfulness, but actually made a dynamic tale about life that touched my heart. The show is deceptively sweet in its ability to send you home remembering to follow yo... full review

This show is really entertaining. Very funny, heartfelt and a great time at the theatre. By the time it's over you don't want it to end. This is one show not to be missed this year.... full review

I absolutely fell in love with the character on stage. I find myself singing his songs while walking. He was just so damn lovable! It was the very best clown show that I've seen in years. Happy that a show like this exists. You can tell that every time Joaquin performs is unique. The moments that didn't go as planned were so well executed and his improv was so on point!... full review

A show so overwhelmingly genuine and touching it literally turned my laughter to tears as Joaquin lured me into a land of wonder and delight. Laughter at the utter joy the show provided and tears when Joaquin sails away at the end. Tears that appeared to be shared by everyone, as no one wanted the show to end. ... full review
