I like that there were one acts with a through line. I enjoy seeing varying writers in one evening and see what they can do together to make a cohesive night of theatre. It is also very social which is very important to me as a theatre artist.
What I didn't like
Some of the pieces seemed a bit uneven. They were all great on their own but next to each other there was some disparity. I still very much enjoyed the story they were telling.
My overall impression
This was a great piece of theatre. The varying styles make for a diverse and interesting evening of entertainment. This is the kind of theatre that matters, this is the kind of art we should all strive for as fringers. Theatre is a medium for education and entertainment and I believe UTM is quite adept at that.
