With three crackerjack magicians and a wisecracking host, there's no better recipe for a crackin' good time. The contest of voting for your favorite magician is rather cursory to the skills of the magicians, but the audience ate it up -- and so did I. This concept is such a fun idea! There are four magicians and three of them compete to win the show while one hosts. There are two rounds and after each round you vote via your phone for which act you like the most. At the end of the show, the winner gets to name the show. Jon Armstrong was our bitter host for the evening and the three acts were performed by Nick Paul, Joe Skilton (replacing Australian magician Simon Coronel), and Handsome Jack (who was the reigning champ). Silent magician Nick Paul began his 12-minute set with a classic red scarf into an egg routine. His sleight of hand is dexterous, but he struggled to “wow” the audience in the short amount of time. Next up was Joe S... full review
