What I liked
Loree Gold packs a 1-2-3 punch! She is a brilliant songwriter and filmmaker as well as an absolutely engaging writer and performer. Her show is a seamless journey of funny and poignant stories that weave killer music, and fun and funny visual in with her live performance. Loree is sharp witted, off-handed, and very natural in her stage presence, tell stories of bad relationship choices we all can relate to. You don’t have to be a lesbian to know exactly what she’s talking about! And, it is her details of lesbian “herstory” and her the particularity of her lesbian mishaps that make the play unique. A fabulous, thoroughly entertaining show!
What I didn't like
Of course, the “catch it on the fly” nature of the fringe festival doesn’t allow Loree to really show the sophistication of the technical aspects of the show – which are very layered and funny. Still, she did a stellar job of overcoming missed cues, and rolling with how it goes — creating an even more intimate relationship with the audience. Brava!!
