What I liked

I loved the use of both song and dance throughout the production and the objective the playwright set for the characters to tell their stories from their point of view. I also favored how the stories were told in a multitude of ways including Spanish and sign language.

What I didn't like

i do believe there may have been too much dancing and it made it hard to keep my focus. using dance once or twice reels the crowd in and makes it exciting to seem, but using it several more times decreases the value and impact it will have on the audience.

My overall impression

I felt as though it took a classical approach to storytelling incorporating multiple facets of Theatre into the production. i saw influences from ancient Italian with the utilization of masks and influences from the Greeks with the presence of what seemed like a chorus. when you entered into the Studio/Stage you were instantly teleported to what seemed like a different universe where women were allowed to be free of men’s control and oppression and they can truly tell their stories as they see fit.
