“Only the Beginning” follows a young man on the brink of adulthood as he navigates through his parents’ divorce. After his father walks out on their family, Bobby, a soon-to-be college graduate, finds himself putting his dreams on hold to take care of his mother as she seemingly falls apart. As new information is uncovered, he must decide for himself what is really important: his family or his happiness.
Divorce has become a very common practice in our modern culture, and affects us in many different ways. Even though it has become so familiar, we as a society have not found a right way to effectively manage a divorce. Whether you are directly involved in the process (the couple), or indirectly involved (kids, family, friends, etc.), there are a myriad of wrong ways to handle a divorce.
This is a story about one of the wrong ways.
