What I liked
My husband and I went to see this play on the preview night; and not only was it a funny and clever parody of “Waiting for Godot”, but also a very scathingly funny commentary on showbiz celebs who’ve become totally sold-out corporate shills while they still carry on the pretense of being “revolutionary artists”. If you’re going to see any play at the L.A. Fringe theater festival, we’d definitely recommend this one!
What I didn't like
There wasn’t anything in particular that I disliked about the show, although they did still seem to be working out the lighting cues on preview night, since they still seemed to be just a bit off here and there, but obviously it wasn’t something that couldn’t be fixed easily, and probably already has!
My overall impression
Very funny, really captured the pretentious, narcissistic behavior of super-famous celebrites, who still consider themselves “artistes” who represent/speak for/understand the “common” folk, but have in reality become completely out-of-touch billionaires themselves— we’re looking at you, U2! :)
