What I liked

The diversity of the cast and its raw nature made it even more moving, powerful and relatable across the board. The music was so sensual and spot on. I’m waiting for a soundtrack to be completed because it’s brilliant, from the Arabic to the English.

What I didn't like

Sometimes in soft spoken scenes, voices got lost but it wasn’t too inaudible but maybe soft mics could help boost the characters’ voices.

My overall impression

If I could summarize this play in one word it would be invigorating because it encompasses this immense energy of inspiration that leaves me with a powerful drive to embrace my womanhood with pride in all that I do. From the moment I saw the play, I noticed a drastic boost in my confidence and talent as a writer and poet. As an Arab American woman myself, it was the reminder I needed to break through the final glass ceiling I kept ignoring. For years I was satisfied with my rebellion thus far, feeling like I had ruffled enough feathers but still nestled in timid safety. This was the break free moment, this play.
