What I liked
I thought the actors all did a wonderful job and it kept me throughly entertained the entire time. It made me want to see musical’s made about other superheroes. An X-Men musical with Professor X being the narrator etc. Overall though, this was a treat.
What I didn't like
I had a hard time hearing some of the dialogue/singing through-out the show. Either they need to mic the stage or find a better way to balance the band with the vocals. I was in the second row and I had to strain too hear some of the quieter actors. If this were to be performed on a bigger stage, there would be no way to understand what’s being said.
My overall impression
I WAS ENTERTAINED. Never checked my phone, thought about errands, or wanted thing’s to be hurried up. I do think the Villain character could be more developed. He really doesn’t pop up until the end….. I’d be willing to cut out other moments in the show just to add a glimpse or two of the villain through-out the show. I think the pay off would be greater at the end if you establish a relationship between the antagonist and protagonist earlier on.
