What I liked
The Burglars of Hamm consistently produce stellar theatrical experiences. Even though this production is designed to be “bad theater”, the understated irony is that excellence in craft permeates the production. Everyone and everything are SO GOOD. There are some Fringe shows that are truly time-killers. This is not one of them. SEE THIS SHOW.
What I didn't like
If I were in a roomful of reviewers I’m sure I’d get shit and/or socks for this.
Make the socks more expensive. I threw socks, but not that many. Too much in awe of the work. And it seemed to me that some people in the audience were more focused on knocking things down at the expense of listening. Good writers wrote this. Sometimes I couldn’t hear the text. That sucked. I’m all for throwing as much money as I can at the
B. O. H., but I want to see and hear their work, too. Sometimes it felt like the Carny side of the Santa Monica Pier. I’d pay a buck a sock. Yup.
That’s my two cents. Sock it to me…
My overall impression
Brilliant. Original. Zany. Cathartic. Roman.
