What I liked

That script though! Thoughtful, thought-provoking and interesting about a character I later found actually existed. Very much a verbal roller-coaster ride.

What I didn't like

This is probably more about the stage itself and the turnover of a Fringe Fest schedule, but I thought it was too uneven. There were some great set pieces and then some haphazard ones. It could’ve served the piece to go all or nothing with the staging, as well as the actor playing 3 characters.

My overall impression

This was one of the smarter shows I saw. Perhaps too smart. I realize that shows have a limited running time, but this one could have stood to breathe a little more, to let the actors inhabit more, to let the words sink in more. The script was very full and well-researched. Hopefully the overall theme hit home. It would make a great full-length play with the lead role set up for the actor playing it to soak up the spotlight and land some blows.
