What I liked

A really strong showing of intensely dense writing with performers to back it up. The whole experience of The Tomb has a kind of contemplative quality about it which is supported by the lengths of origin that Anthony excavates in his time living with the tomb.
The situation of Anthony and the tomb is quite beautiful too. I won’t give that away.
Also, a great balance between Adrian Burks’s above character and Charles Gonzales’s multiple. The use of color on one of Gonzales’s final character’s elevates the whole show.

What I didn't like

This theater does swallow up the volume and intimacy of the piece, but the piece counters that by using the space smartly. I think a venue that is more intimate yet open, or without a proscenium altogether, would better serve this work in the future.

My overall impression

A dense and risk-taking historical/biblical drama. Contemplative. Serene. Get close for this one.
